Andrew
Cadie is a lively and engaging performer of songs and tunes, particularly
from the Northumbrian tradition, as well as his own compositions
and diverse material from all over Europe and America.
born Berwick-upon-Tweed, 1979; attended schools in Northumberland,
Co. Durham and Staffordshire
founded
folkband Muckley Korner, 1992, at the age of 12 and played
at Tamworth Arts Centre, Assembly Rooms, Red Rose Theatre, Rugeley,
Tamworth Free Festival and other local venues
recorded 'Street Art Crime' album, 1995
wrote, produced
and performed music for a project with the Shakespeare Birthplace
Trust, 1997;
toured festivals
performing with the Aqua Sisters,including Cambridge
and Glastonbury, 1997/8
performed at opening concert of Tamworth Folk Moot, 1998;
formed nine-piece
'World' band, chosen to play at Lichfield Pock & Pop Festival
(LRAP), August 1998
from 1997,
assisted sound engineering for a range of performers at different
venues, such as Tom Paxton, Kathryn Tickell and
Black Voices; engineered sound for Albion Band
released 'Evil Herebivore' CD,

travelled
Europe and North Africa, 1998/9
joined German
folklorique band, 1999
worked on material for his long-term solo plans, whilst studying
German in Kaiserslautern; released demo CD

a Penny with Katie Doherty, later joined by Roger Purves
