ANDREW CADIE
|
Andrew learned the skills of the stage early on, and by the age of 17 was playing for The Aqua Sisters at summer festivals, including Cambridge Folk Festival and Glastonbury. During this time he was also comissioned to write and perform some music for a production by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford. After the Aquas split in 1998 he went off to find some new sounds. Wielding guitar, fiddle and whistle and in full voice, Andrew's been inspired by Irish folkies in a Scottish pub in Catalunya (!), jamming with Gypsies in Spain and drumming with the Tuaregs and Berbers in Morroco, playing klezmer and Baltic folklore in Germany, jazz with a travelling busker and tango with an Argentine guitarist. |
