Arts officers from all the local authorities across Co Durham are keen to work with local communities and individuals to develop a proposal for a cultural programme in partnership with Culture10.

Culture10 is a programme of cultural events across the North East region, stemming from NewcastleGatehead's European Capital of Culture bid. Culture10 continues until the turn of the decade, and possibly onwards to the London Olympics in 2012. It aims to unleash creativity in communities and raise the level of creative activity beyond what has ever been seen before in the region.
