Alston ArtstsAlston Artists is a group of artists from Alston who occasionally collaborate in exhibiting their work through exhibitions and open studio events.

Alston Moor sits astride the 'Roof of England', high in the North Pennines. For centuries it has inspired creative minds with its mix of nature and culture. It is a landscape forged from a geology of precious minerals, set in a unique biological environment, forming the watershed for the three great rivers of the North-East - the Tyne, Tees and Wear.

Studio House

Studio House is in the centre of Alston, adjacent to the Market Cross, and was the central information point for the Arts on High open studios event in September 2008. It featured an exhibition showcasing the work of all the participating artists and makers, plus leaflets, brochures and a map to help visitors on their trail.

Studio House is now showcasing the work of Alston artists.
